Discoveries about the organization on the internet
Admittedly, had it not been for the internet, and all of the dis-
coveries that were found on it; I would still be one of Jehovah's
Witnesses. My reason for leaving the organization was due
to the discovery of the United Nations affair with the Watch-
tower Society. How instrumental was it for you in your case?
Some individuals received there information from Crisis of
Conscience; others through personal experiences, and still
others from a variety of sources other than the internet.*The question is—how important was the internet in your
discovering what the Watchtower Society was all about?Kindly, post your perspective regarding this matter.

Question for JW believers...or whoever wants to answer
by kittyeatzjdubs ini often wondered this myself a lot growing up, and i must know.... if there was no paradise hope, no promise of living forever or having your dead loved ones resurrected....would you still serve your god and follow the organization?
would you have ever began studying with the witnesses for that matter or stayed in the ''truth'' if you were raised in it?.
because isn't that the golden ticket that jw's wave in front of their studies or interested ones?

In answer to your question Kitty, there would have
to be some kind of expectation from God for doing
his will. Wouldn't you agree?
Otherwise, if the result is still going to be
death at the end, what good would there be in
doing the will of God?

"Leaving the Truth" The Easy Way
by metatron ini noticed that we have a lot of new lurkers here - and, in particular, some elders who are agonizing over how to get free.
from the watchtower without causing too much damage to themselves.
here are some suggestions that have worked.

What shocked you first, into realizing the world was not like the JW's?
by free2beme ini left the witnesses in 1997. i was trying to make new friends and met some people through the gym.
my spouse and i went to their house for some dinner, and we thought it would be a great time.
also, we wanted to get to know people that were not witnesses and get a foot-hold into our new life.
